I’m an engineer in California. I write mostly about programming, and in the past have written about organizational behavior and logic. I keep a small website at ted.io. I like Dutch painting, and also other things. I work at OpenAI.

I was an early software engineer at Simple, building banking software for humans. I was then a systems engineer at GitHub, and later served as VP of Engineering and CTO there. Later I co-founded Cased to help infra teams work with AI.
